This plugin does not turn Gravity Forms into a high-volume relational database. Thousands of entries, broad text searches, and several field-based filters can become expensive because Gravity Forms stores much of its field data in entry meta tables.

It also does not provide marketplace features such as vendor accounts, order workflows, faceted product filtering, or WooCommerce inventory synchronization. Fine-grained permissions must be configured carefully; placing an entry block on a restricted page is not, by itself, a complete authorization strategy.

A practical fit for portals and operational sites

The strongest use cases are member areas, staff-facing tools, submission directories, support queues, approval lists, and customer dashboards. Freelancers can ship a usable front end without building custom entry templates, while agencies retain access to the underlying Gravity Forms hooks when requirements move beyond the block settings.

For public directories with complex relationships, map searches, or very large datasets, a dedicated directory plugin or custom post type architecture may scale more cleanly.

Configuration lives in Gutenberg—not in theme files

Entry Blocks is a plugin, not a theme. There is no Theme Options panel or Customizer section, and files such as header.php or archive.php are irrelevant to its entry rendering. Forms are created in Gravity Forms, then the relevant entry blocks are inserted and configured through Gutenberg’s block inspector.

Basic presentation can be handled through block settings, WordPress styles, and scoped CSS. A child theme is appropriate for site-level styling, but overriding PHP theme templates will not change the plugin’s internal block markup. Structural modifications should use documented WordPress or Gravity Forms filters rather than editing plugin files, since direct changes disappear during updates.

The block-based approach keeps the implementation reasonably contained. Asset weight depends on the enabled controls and surrounding Gravity Forms stack; no fixed CSS/JS footprint should be assumed without profiling the target page.
